EI is the abbreviation of Engineering Index, Founded in 1884 by Engineering Information Inc., USA, it is a major international authoritative retrieval system for engineering and technology journals and conference documents It is one of the four famous retrieval tools in the world。

The world’s four major search tools: SCI (Science Citation Index), Ei (The Engineering Index), ISTP (Index to Scientific Technical Proceedings), ISR (Index to Scientific Reviews)。

Ei Compendex Web Edition is the most comprehensive engineering information retrieval database in the world at present.
